Food Safety Compliance & Risk Specialist

Job Summary
Monitor and enforce compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP, SQF, USDA, FDA); conduct risk assessments across processes; identify hazards and develop preventive controls; lead internal audits, mock recalls, and third-party audit prep; analyze data trends to identify risks and implement CAPAs; investigate deviations and perform root cause analysis; develop and update food safety programs (HACCP plans, SOPs); partner with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance; provide training on food safety and regulatory expectations; support supplier compliance and recall/crisis response activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field required
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance within a food manufacturing environment
- Certification in HACCP, PCQI, or SQF Practitioner strongly preferred
