Job Summary
Memorize current menu items, wine list, and vintages while preparing dining areas according to guest preferences. Review incoming orders to ensure presentation and completeness, then cover and place items in carts for delivery with beverages added last. Set up scheduled coffee service each morning by 6:00am and verify wine orders with guests before presenting for approval. Monitor meal completion times, contacting guests if delivery exceeds estimated windows to offer apologies and new times. Handle tickets and cash, ensuring stations remain properly cleaned, stocked, and organized. Maintain excellent food and beverage knowledge to provide quality customer service and advocate for the hotel.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
- Able to learn, retain, and present product, menu, and allergy information to guests
- Knowledge of or ability to learn the restaurant point-of-sale system
- Highly motivated, and flexible individual, confident in taking initiative
- Flexible schedule, able to work mornings, nights, holidays, and weekends when needed
- Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness Certifications (if applicable)
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in a similar or supportive role is preferred
