Job Summary
Collect and redistribute surplus food from donors to local charities using a bright yellow van, navigating Port Macquarie while holding a full valid Australian car licence. Load and unload nutritious food boxes up to 15kg per box, fostering relationships at pick-up and drop-off locations to educate communities on reducing waste. Participate in buddy shifts during onboarding to learn safety systems and food rescue processes before undertaking solo runs, with ongoing logistics support for daily routing. This casual role supports OzHarvest's mission to nourish the country and halve food waste by 2030 through direct community engagement and advocacy.
Required Qualifications
- full valid Australian Drivers Licence (auto car licence)
- Be physically fit and be able to load and unload vibrant, nutritious food boxes (up to 15kg per box)
- Be able to safely navigate around Port Macquarie
