Job Summary
Collect and redistribute surplus food from donors to charities across Perth using a bright yellow van, navigating local routes with a valid car licence. Load and unload nutritious food boxes up to 15kg per box while fostering relationships with community members and educating them on food waste reduction. Work two to three shifts per week, with Friday availability essential, based primarily at the Perth hub. Complete mandatory onboarding training covering safety systems and rescue processes before starting solo shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Be able to safely navigate around Perth
- Must hold a valid Australian Drivers Licence (auto car licence is fine)
- Be physically fit and be able to load and unload vibrant, nutritious food boxes (up to 15kg per box)
- Bring an energetic, proactive & friendly vibe to the team
- Availability on Fridays
- Must be able to occasionally work from the Mandurah hub
Desired Qualifications
- Be excited to foster relationships with people at your pick-up and drop-off locations, and educate and inspire behaviour change by talking about our work
- MR licence
