Job Summary
Oversee the implementation, monitoring, and verification of food safety and quality management systems within the Customer Service Center. Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and corporate standards by conducting routine tests on CCPs, oPRPs, and PRPs while maintaining all monitoring records. Provide food safety training, support external inspections, and lead investigations into findings. Document processes, input monthly data into the web portal, and update manuals to drive continuous improvement. Assist leadership in executing corrective actions and fostering relationships with internal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, engineering or related fields
- Certified Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI)
- Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)
- Working knowledge in Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards
- One to three years of related work experience in the food safety area
- Proven analytical and leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to develop and lead others to obtain desired results & achieve budget
- Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), FDA, USDA and HACCP regulations
- Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills
- Aptitude for multi-tasking
- Knowledge of computer skills, including use of technology (scanners, tablets, printers, copiers, etc.) and Microsoft Office programs, as well as cloud-based systems
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, engineering or related fields is preferred
- Certified Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)Working knowledge in Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards is highly preferred
