Job Summary
Produce, assemble, and package bakeshop products while operating machinery and equipment as needed. Properly label containers, fill log sheets, and complete batch card tasks. Perform quality checks, handle products according to food safety standards, and practice food and human safety techniques. Adhere to sanitation practices for cleaning equipment, floors, and machinery. Maintain open communication with management and coworkers to resolve issues and keep the operation running smoothly. Follow labor laws to safely complete work in a clean environment. This part-time role supports our manufacturing team's behind-the-scenes innovation to keep stores stocked with fresh products.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be available for the required schedule
- Must be able to produce, assemble and package products
- Must be able to operate machinery and equipment as necessary for the job
- Must be able to properly label all containers and carts, fill out log sheets, and complete tasks on batch cards
- Must be able to perform quality checks and properly handle products to ensure they meet Wegmans food safety and quality standards
- Must be able to practice food and human safety techniques
- Must be able to follow guidelines and labor laws to safely complete work and maintain a clean work environment
- Must be able to keep open lines of communication with management and coworkers to effectively resolve issues and keep the operation running smoothly
- Must be able to adhere to proper sanitation practices, including cleaning and sanitizing the production equipment, floors and machinery
