Job Summary
Provide restaurant-style dining while supporting the Nutrition Services team using whole, fresh, and sustainable products. Order supplies, prepare food items, and ensure proper food safety and sanitation standards are met. Maintain cooler and freeze stocks in our fast-paced, high-volume environment. Collaborate to deliver a quality product and exceptional experience for patients, staff, and visitors across Allenmore, Tacoma General, Mary Bridge, Good Samaritan, Auburn Medical Center, and Covington Medical Center. Requires a high school graduate, current Washington State Food Handler's Card, and minimum two years cooking experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current Washington State Food Handler's Card
- Minimum two (2) years cooking experience in casual to fine dining, hotels or healthcare line cook
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Serve-Safe certification
- Strong culinary background
- Enthusiastic, food-centric attitude
- Ability to collaborate
- Candidate must be able to get to the following hospitals: Allenmore, Tacoma General, Mary Bridge, Good Samaritan (Puyallup), Auburn Medical Center, and Covington Medical Center after a four to six week training at Tacoma General
