Job Summary
Oversee production operations at the Chicago Food Factory to maximize quality, efficiency, and compliance with food safety, QA, and health & safety programs. Direct the Production Supervisory Team, lead daily huddles, manage labor scheduling (permanent and agency), enforce Bento QA and Food Safety programs, report KPIs to Plant Manager, collaborate with People Operations and Health & Safety to foster a safety-focused culture, optimize production sequences, evaluate equipment/automation needs with ROI considerations, supervise floor operations, provide material usage data to ERP for accurate inventory (JustFoods), design training plans for new production teammates, pilot new product launches with mock runs, adjust production sheets and BOMs to minimize shortages and waste, coordinate with Engineering/maintenance for preventative maintenance, identify risk mitigation opportunities, and participate in special projects. Qualifications include a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role in food manufacturing, knowledge of Food Safety standards and HACCP, Lean Manufacturing principles, leadership to manage a food processing facility, capability to motivate a team, ability to manage temperature-controlled products, and proficiency with MS Office.
