Job Summary
Cleans, portions, and cuts various foods to prepare for cooking or serving, while arranging items on trays, carts, or conveyor belts. Prepares beverages and sets up the buffet area, then carries supplies to storage zones and restocks as needed. Cleans work areas, equipment, and utensils, completes food safety logs, and assists with inventory counts and trash removal. Requires standing for entire shifts, lifting 40 pounds, and pulling 120 pounds with a cart. Works rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to successfully pass airport authority security background check
- Must be at least 18 or 21 years of age as applicable by law
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks
- Must possess verbal communication skills necessary to communicate with customers, passengers, and co-workers
- Able to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e. Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
- Must be able to stand during entire scheduled shift
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds, 40 inches high without the aid of another person
- Must be able to push and/or pull 120 pounds with the assistance of a wheeled cart
- Must be able to pass and obtain security background check and clearance to work in airport environment
- Must be able to report to work on a regular and timely basis
- Must be able to perform tasks safely and according to established procedures to prevent personal injury, injury to others and avoid damage to the environment, facilities, and equipment
- Must be able to follow all lawful safety, health and liquor rules and regulations
- Must be able to pass and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications including, but not limited to, local health department food handler certification
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred
- Related background in customer service or restaurant/bar service
