Job Summary
Deliver excellent guest service to internal and external customers while promoting menu items through up-selling to grow sales. Prepare and serve food in accordance with established recipes, operate the cash register and Point-of-Sale (POS) system, and manage daily deposits. Assist in checking food temperatures, follow health code and sanitation guidelines, and maintain cleanliness of dining rooms, back-of-house areas, and exterior grounds. Ensure work areas are stocked and organized, maintain portion control to minimize waste, and collaborate with team members to support efficient operations. Work across all Rock City Gardens food and beverage locations as assigned with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to obtain ServSafe Food Handler Certification
- Ability to display a professional, polite, and engaging image to guests and partners
- Effective verbal communication skills in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to read and understand operational documents
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using units of American money
- Ability to provide a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed
- Regular use of hands and fingers
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
- Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Previous food service experience preferred but not required
