Job Summary
Receive, unload, sort, and organize food donations and program materials while maintaining accurate inventory counts using electronic systems. Rotate stock following FIFO procedures, prepare distribution bags, and assist with deliveries, pickups, and unloading shipments. Ensure proper storage of refrigerated and shelf-stable items, maintain cleanliness and safety standards, and support on-site and off-site food distribution events. Set up distribution stations, replenish supplies during events, and enter program data into approved systems for reporting. Use Microsoft Office Suite for inventory logs and communicate via computer software. Follow all state food handling guidelines, USDA/TEFAP requirements, and safety protocols; report hazards immediately. Assist clients respectfully and attend mandatory trainings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficient using computers and software including Microsoft Office Suite
- Must have reliable transportation and ability to attend events or deliveries if necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in warehouse, food pantry, logistics or distribution
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work respectfully with diverse populations
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Forklift or pallet jack certification (or willing to obtain)
