Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of the Honesdale Food Pantry, managing volunteer recruitment and training, client intake, record management, and food ordering through Second Harvest Food Bank. Lead Food Pantry Committee meetings, maintain volunteer schedules and activity logs, and prepare monthly statistical reports. Support seasonal programs including the Red Kettle Campaign, Angel Tree, Camp recruitment, and Back-to-School initiatives. Assist with Wayne County Emergency Disaster Service efforts and ensure compliance with mandated reporter responsibilities, child protection clearances, and vehicle safety requirements. This role supports the mission of The Salvation Army in meeting human needs in Honesdale, PA.
Required Qualifications
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Ability to maintain records
- Compassion and interest in meeting the needs of families and individuals and families with confidentiality
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance
- PA State Police Criminal Record Check
- PA DHS Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check
- Pennsylvania approved Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training
- Must understand and support for the Mission of The Salvation Army
