Job Summary
Portion, package, and label fresh food for distribution while ensuring quality control and adhering to sanitation standards. Record product temperatures in daily monitoring records or place items in blast chillers if outside HACCP parameters. Perform quality checks on ingredients, texture, and appearance, then review scale labels for seafood to meet CCP requirements. Determine net total product weights for store and wholesale customers, adjusting quantities to align with orders and recording details on shipper paperwork. Follow all hygiene, sanitation, and safety guidelines for equipment operation and cleaning. Maintain a positive attitude, keep work areas orderly, and attend department meetings as scheduled. Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with strict time pressures, requiring attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple demands.
