Job Summary
Set up serving areas and serve food to students and staff. Operate a cash register for food item sales. Maintain cleanliness of food service facilities and assist with clean-up, dishmachine operation, and washing pots and pans. Follow procedures for food preparation and meal portioning while ensuring sanitation standards comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Work quickly in a busy cafeteria environment under the Site Manager's instructions.
Required Qualifications
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to work quickly in a busy cafeteria
- Experience in cashiering or a willingness to learn
- The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the Corporation.
Desired Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent desired
- Previous commercial food service experience desired
