Job Summary
Prepare and serve nutritionally adequate meals for York Preparatory Academy students while maintaining health, sanitation, and safety standards to comply with Federal and State regulations. Complete appropriate training, follow instructions, and stay mentally alert. Support the Coordinator in maintaining daily and monthly inventory of all food and supplies, taking inventory as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Work five days a week in an office or cafeteria environment with limited outside exposure, moving items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires a high school diploma, one year of food service experience, and excellent computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent computer skills
- One year food service experience
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines
- Ability to follow recipes in preparing food
- Ability to follow instructions quickly and accurately
- Ability to work five days a week
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
