Food Inspector 2- Recall Coordinator

Monitor the completion of recalls of adulterated or misbranded food products to ensure proper corrective action, communicating with FDA and state partners on violative items. Perform audit checks to verify recalling firms have corrected violations, trace foods to their source, and determine the scope of safety issues. Communicate with responsible establishments on required actions for labeling violations and confer with frequent violators. Conduct periodic audits of sample reports under FDA Manufactured Foods Regulatory Program Standards and plan corrective actions for field staff. Optionally develop and approve retail food store operator continuing education courses on food safety. This full-time role requires a valid driver's license and may involve out-of-state travel for training.
