Job Summary
Assists the baker/cook in measuring and mixing ingredients, cooking, baking, and preparing food items under supervision. Operates food service equipment, sets up the serving line, and serves food according to standard sizes. Alerts management when supplies are low and removes items from the serving line at end of service. Washes, dries, and folds laundry; sweeps, mops, cleans tables and chairs, and washes pots, pans, kettles, and equipment. Performs additional related duties as assigned. Must secure a Maricopa County Food Handler's Card within 30 days of hire and regularly lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred with one year of work experience.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of food service safety and sanitation practices – health and safety codes
- Basic cooking and baking practices and methods
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with others
- Ability to operate commercial food service equipment
- Must secure a Maricopa County Food Handler's Card within 30 days of hire date
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications

- One year work experience
