Job Summary
Prepare, serve and clean-up after meals, responsible for sanitation related to meal preparation and proper storage of food, work with management in menu planning, Related duties as assigned. Located on the Lower East Side at Sadiqua Khabir House; Manhattan, NY. Part-time schedule includes Saturday and Sunday shifts with vaccination preferred. Experience and knowledge of NYC health regulations and nutrition emphasized. SRO housing facility serving formerly homeless individuals; phraseology reflects duties in food service and sanitation within a community services setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Good cooking skills and understanding of nutrition
- Familiar with NYC health regulations
- Two years of cooking experience preferred
