Job Summary
Food Hall Attendant responsible for providing food and beverage service in a high-volume casino food hall under the direction of the Management Team. Responsibilities include serving guests with an upbeat and professional attitude, processing cash and credit transactions on the POS system, maintaining accurate cash handling, upselling to increase revenue, clearing tables, greeting guests, keeping service areas clean, reporting hazards, complying with health and safety regulations, and performing preventive maintenance on equipment. Requires knowledge of food and beverage items, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, strong customer service and communication skills, and availability for a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnights. Education and experience requirements include High School Diploma or equivalent, minimum 3 years of Food Court or casino experience, Valid Smart Serve Certificate, and cash handling/POS experience; capable of passing a criminal record check.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent working experience
- Minimum 3 years of Food Court experience working in a high volume multi-unit establishment or Casino
- Valid Smart Serve Certificate required
- Previous cash handling experience
- Previous P.O.S system experience an asset
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, customer service and communication skills
- Must be people-focused and demonstrate a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service
- Proactive and solution oriented with a drive to succeed
- Demonstrate strong initiative, active listening and teamwork skills
- Maintain a positive working relationship with fellow employees and management as part of a team
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to successfully pass criminal record check
- Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights
