Job Summary
The Food Expeditor ensures orders leaving the kitchen are accurate and timely, coordinates between the kitchen and runners, and maintains Torchy’s quality standards. Responsibilities include verifying tickets and modifications for order accuracy, recording and communicating ticket times to keep service flowing, coordinating allergy or complicated tickets with a manager, portioning and labeling prep items, setting up and breakdown of stations per diagram, maintaining cleanliness and organization, preparing chips and dips in ticket order to ensure freshness, and supporting overall kitchen efficiency with backups for shifts. Required is state/local Food Handler’s certification (to be obtained by the first day or per location timelines). Previous kitchen experience is preferred. The role involves standing for several hours, bending/stretching, and lifting up to 40 pounds. Flexible schedules are offered, with on-site work expected. Compensation ranges from $9.00 to $12.00 per hour, plus pooled tips, with benefits such as medical, dental, vision for full-time after 1 year, 401(k) after 6 months, PTO after 1 year, and employee discounts.
Required Qualifications

- Previous experience preferred
- Ability to stand for several hours
- Able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves at various height levels
- Able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
