Job Summary
Food expeditor role coordinating between kitchen and front-of-house to ensure timely, accurate delivery of orders; prioritize and relay orders, communicate details to kitchen staff, and synchronize service with servers. duties include restaurant setup and cleanup, pre-bussing and bussing tables, transport of dirty dishes, quality assurance of plated dishes, monitoring order timing, updating wait staff on statuses, communicating dietary restrictions or special requests, and solving issues to minimize service disruptions. Requires strong communication, organizational skills, knowledge of food safety, and ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Proficiency with restaurant management software and a focus on maintaining cleanliness and an efficient expediting station.
