Job Summary
Engage with team members in span of care to ensure they receive appropriate onboarding, training, and coaching while identifying talent for a diversified leadership pipeline. Direct Leads and Team Leaders by assigning daily work assignments and overseeing performance management, feedback, and succession planning. Drive safety, compliance, and condition management while analyzing financial and statistical information to maximize sales, productivity, and budget line items in the P&L. Implement process improvements and uphold Meijer standards through candid discussions focused on growth and customer service.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members in a way that provides clear and precise direction
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that information to make informed decisions
- Demonstrated ability to lead an organization that practices working safely at all times
- A thorough understanding of seasonal and diverse merchandising which leads to meeting the needs of our customers/community and gaining sales and market share
- A strong business acumen
