Job Summary
Food & Consumables Coach at Walmart responsible for leading and developing store teams, delivering exceptional customer service, overseeing store operations, and driving sales and profitability.Responsibilities include recruiting, training, mentoring, setting clear expectations, and fostering a sense of belonging; coordinating plans with stakeholders; ensuring policy compliance and ethical standards; managing merchandising, inventory flow, shrink reduction, and financial performance (P&L, budgeting, forecasting); driving continuous improvement, analyzing data, and applying Walmart’s Open Door Policy and core values to empower associates and enhance the customer experience.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of college; OR 1 year retail experience and 1 year supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience
- Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.)
- For facilities that sell firearms, acknowledge firearms background check requirements where applicable
- Live Better U and Bellevue University programs for leadership development are offered as part of benefits
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University (preferred qualifications)
