Job Summary
Food Captain in-store role responsible for in-store food category execution and training. Lead food service operations, ensure execution of food production, replenishment, ordering, organization, sanitization, FIFO-based food rotation, and customer service. Plan and conduct food sampling, lead in-store training on new Foodservice programs, and refresh training as needed. Maintain stock per planogram, monitor shrink, and collaborate with BUQAS to deliver foodservice training programs. Manage ordering to minimize out-of-stocks and maximize profit, and ensure compliance with food safety practices and budgets. Requires leadership experience, ability to train staff, and certifications (Food Manager Certification, ServSafe, NRFSP). Proficient in English; French skills in Quebec provinces also noted.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods retail and/or Foodservice
- Experience in training, leadership, team building
- Food Manager Certification (ServSafe and NRFSP approved certifications)
- Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken; French skills in Quebec provinces
