Job Summary
Lead the Food & Beverage team to deliver Target’s guest-experience commitments and drive department goals. Responsibilities include planning daily/weekly workloads to meet sales and guest engagement targets, leading and developing hourly team members through hiring/onboarding, coaching, and performance management, and ensuring adherence to Food & Beverage standards. Manage inventory, pricing, promotions, and merchandising while collaborating with store leadership to achieve store-wide objectives. Coordinate with vendors, uphold food safety and compliance protocols, and support back-office processes and safety initiatives. The role involves conducting team huddles, tracking performance metrics, and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and productive work environment, including staffing for varied shifts and being adaptable to a fast-paced retail setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail and/or food experience preferred, but not required
- Strong interest and knowledge of the Food & Beverage business
- Lead and hold others accountable
- Communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
- Effective communication skills
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
- Interpret instructions, reports and information
- Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
- Climb up and down ladders if needed
- Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); reliable and prompt attendance necessary
- Ability to work in environments that will include refrigeration and freezer temperatures and conditions; where common allergens may also be handled or present
- Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties
