Job Summary
Deliver guest experience commitments by ensuring every team member understands and consistently executes Target's guest experience standards. Lead a Food & Beverage team through daily huddles, workload planning, and active observation to hold members accountable while recognizing great moments. Manage inventory accuracy, food safety, and pricing by completing the Food & Beverage Daily Standards walk and maintaining a fresh, full area during all operating hours. Coordinate with vendors, place store-initiated orders, and support guest services including cashier, order pickup, and drive-up operations. Uphold brand standards for Starbucks and Pizza Hut, manage adult beverage laws and liquor license compliance, and model a culture of safety, security, and ethical conduct. Participate in hiring and onboarding processes, coach team members to close skill gaps, and occasionally assume store-level leadership on duty responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail and/or food experience
- Strong interest and knowledge of the Food & Beverage business
- Lead and hold others accountable
- Communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
- Effective communication skills
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
- Interpret instructions, reports and information
- Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
- Climb up and down ladders if needed
- Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); reliable and prompt attendance necessary
- Ability to work in environments that will include refrigeration and freezer temperatures and conditions; where common allergens may also be handled or present
- Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties, including but not limited to Drive-Ups, carryout, etc.
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shifts (shift length may vary)
