Job Summary
Train and supervise all Food & Beverage staff to ensure proper food preparation, bar menu presentation, and adherence to hotel standards. Promote exceptional customer service by resolving guest concerns through attentive service recovery and responding promptly to requests. Empower new team members with essential procedures and techniques for exceptional guest service while fostering strong relationships across departments. Perform line employee functions as needed during high volume or emergency situations, utilizing knowledge of industry trends and local regulations. Multitask effectively in a dynamic environment, moving throughout the hotel property to maintain safety and service quality. Work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays to reflect business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bar, Culinary, sales and service background
- Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates
- Extensive experience in restaurant, bar, banquet, stewarding, kitchen, sales, catering and management
- Minimum two years supervisory experience in hotel industry
- Ability to lift, carry, push or pull 10 lbs
- Ability to move throughout the hotel property and continuously perform essential job functions
- Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Thorough knowledge of food products, standard recipes and proper preparations
- Regular attendance in conformance with the standards
- Ability to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel, including nights, weekends and/or holidays
- Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- Ability to take on the responsibility and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Compliance with health and safety rules, regulations and procedures
