Job Summary
Coordinate meal preparation and service for events including meetings, banquets, trade shows, FSU basketball games, concerts, and graduations. Assist the Executive Chef with food preparation, ordering, inventory, dish room, and sanitation duties. Support part-time staff scheduling and back-of-house management during high-volume operations. Complete special projects as assigned and attend departmental meetings as needed. Work approximately 24 hours a week with varying days and times depending on the event schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a college junior, senior, graduate student, or currently enrolled in culinary school
- Availability to work 24 hours a week, including evenings and weekends
- Working knowledge of general food service and preparation
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Must possess a strong ability to focus and pay great attention to detail and can function in a fast-paced environment
- Must demonstrate a positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- Recommended for hospitality majors or related fields
- Campus leadership experience is a plus
