Job Summary
Assist guests with menu offerings, take orders, and ensure accuracy by repeating orders while inputting them promptly for kitchen fulfillment. Check meals on collection from the kitchen, deliver to guests maintaining temperature and appearance, and announce items. Operate within the Food Safety Program, including awareness of allergies and dietary requirements, and maintain hygienic food service techniques. Manage designated sections, answer telephones, and setup or reset conference and function activities as directed. Adhere to liquor licensing guidelines and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) principles, ensuring currency of certification. Work a flexible 7-day roster while delivering prompt, efficient service with excellent customer focus.
Required Qualifications
- Customer service experience or experience in a similar environment
- Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
- The ability to work a flexible 7-day roster
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Well-presented with a natural ability to build rapport both in person and over the telephone
- Strong focus and passion for hotel operations
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Ability to provide prompt and efficient service including upselling advantageous
- Self-motivated with positive and professional attitude
- Proven ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and think on your feet
- Time management skills with the ability to multitask
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of team members
- Flexible and able to embrace and respond effectively to change

Desired Qualifications
- An awareness of food safety practices preferred
- Be knowledgeable of and operate within the Food Safety Program (e.g. Awareness of allergies and dietary requirements)
- Be knowledgeable of and operate within appropriate outlet and hotel liquor licensing guidelines and House Management Policies
- Maintain currency of Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, amendments and updates and adhere to RSA principles. Notify your manager/supervisor if you require assistance.
