Job Summary
Direct guest service and staff supervision across all F&B outlets, including room service, lounge, and banquets. Maintain budgeted payroll and overhead costs while driving sales revenue to exceed targets. Manage daily operations by overseeing banquet department functions, conducting monthly beverage inventories, and analyzing POS reports. Prepare shift schedules based on business forecasts, review worked hours for payroll, and submit wage progress reports weekly. Implement food and beverage promotions, conduct staff training, and handle employee performance appraisals. Monitor cash overages and shortages, ensure compliance with safety certifications, and maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience
- 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems
- Proficiency in Company approved spreadsheets
- Proficiency in word processing
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to understanding clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
- Supervisory experience
