Job Summary
Oversee food and beverage outlet operations, including menu planning with chefs, inventory management, and cost control. Conduct quality assurance inspections, train seasonal staff, and prepare financial reports to analyze revenue and expenses. Manage vendor relations and address customer complaints while maintaining high hygiene and safety standards. Assist with bar operations and food service duties as needed during peak periods. Work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays across five days, with up to six days during busy times. Commit through March 31, 2027.
Required Qualifications
- Legal right to live and work in Japan (typically via a Working Holiday Visa)
- Japanese or international license required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience managing in the restaurant or bar industry
- Willingness to work flexible hours, evenings, mornings, weekends, and holidays, as per the requirements of the establishment
- Ability to handle a fast-paced and dynamic work environment and to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (such as kegs or cases of beverages), and handle the physical demands of the job
- Ability to lead and supervise a team, manage daily operations, and make effective decisions
- Familiarity with cash registers, POS systems, and the ability to handle cash and provide change
- Ability to commit until March 31, 2027
- You speak Japanese or English but ideally both
