Food and Nutrition Services Floating Worker providing meal preparation support, service area setup, food portioning, kitchen sanitation, and coordination of daily production in a district-wide school food program. Responsibilities include following recipes, operating and maintaining kitchen equipment, managing food and supply costs, maintaining records, ensuring nutrition, sanitation, and safety standards, communicating with staff and supervisors, and possibly assisting the manager with orders and catering functions. The role requires the ability to stand for long periods, work in warm environments, and lift at least 46 pounds. Internal and external applicants compete for a position that runs 7:30 AM–2:30 PM, 190 days in the school year, with a pay rate of $15.76/hour; education requirement is a high school diploma or GED.
