Job Summary
Coordinate food services and activities with other departments while assisting the Dietician in planning and directing the overall Food Service Department operation. Maintain written policies and procedures, interpret departmental guidelines for residents, employees, and government agencies, and develop tested standard recipes. Inspect kitchen and storage areas for safety and supply control, interview residents to obtain diet history, and provide substitute foods for those refusing meals. Complete necessary forms, reports, and evaluations to ensure equipment and supply control.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma
- Must have current food safety certification as acceptable per state recommendations
- Must have, as a minimum five (5) years experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility
- Must have training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, personnel management etc
- Ability to pass a criminal background check as well as Colorado CAPS background check
- COVID Vaccine Required or Valid Exemption
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Dietary Manager with current good standing preferred or eligible to take Certified Dietary Manager examination per Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals
- Military experience or management in similar large food service volume may apply
