Job Summary

Responsible for all on-site details for executing group events, design and communicate room layouts and setup, and troubleshoot event problems. Serve as liaison and contact person for coordinating details of events with clients, outside vendors, meeting planners, and others involved in events. Design, confirm, and communicate room layouts and set-up requirements for special events; enter/update reservations and related information in databases; transmit information or documents; operate standard office equipment; prepare weekly payroll paperwork; assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, and motivating staff, and act as a role model for fair treatment. Requires strong customer service, English proficiency, hospitality or banquet operations knowledge, and an RSA. Availability to work a rotating roster including evenings and weekends.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role for at least 1 year
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality, food and beverage or banquet operations
  • Proven ability in people management and ability to lead teams under pressure
  • Current RSA
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings when required, weekends/public holidays
