Food and Beverage Service Director

Job Summary
Lead daily front-of-house dining operations with a visible floor presence during service; build member relationships to ensure exceptional guest experiences; oversee reservations, pacing, service timing, and dining room flow; coach service teams in real time to maintain elevated hospitality standards; collaborate with culinary leadership on menu execution and dining strategies; support banquet and event service operations as needed. Drive team development through recruitment, training, scheduling, and ongoing hospitality education; foster a positive culture focused on professionalism and retention; manage POS procedures in the Jonas system, including menu updates, pricing, permissions, and configurations; oversee beverage operations, inventory, vendor relationships, and pricing; lead wine lists and seasonal cocktail offerings; conduct inventories and monitor loss prevention; participate in budgeting and ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and operational standards; serve as Manager-on-Duty when needed and contribute in weekly leadership meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of food & beverage management experience
- Private club or upscale dining experience strongly preferred
- Proven success in staff development and hospitality leadership
- Sommelier Certification (Court of Master Sommeliers or WSET) preferred
- Certifications Required: TABC Certification, Food Handler Manager Certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Jonas POS systems is a plus
