Job Summary
Prepare ingredients for service, check stock for quality and expiry dates, and rotate items to maintain freshness. Keep the kitchen clean and hygienic, including appliances, ovens, work surfaces, and dishes, while supporting basic food preparation tasks as directed by senior chefs. Communicate clearly with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient service and report any suspected weaknesses or breaches in company information systems. Uphold all safeguarding, health & safety, and hygiene responsibilities to protect guests and colleagues.
Required Qualifications
- The ability to work well in a fast‐paced, high‐pressure kitchen
- Good manual dexterity
- Basic food preparation skills
- A positive, energetic approach and commitment to great service
- Strong communication skills
- A team‐player mindset
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
- Background checks including DBS (or equivalent)
