Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of 54 Craft & Co. restaurant, hotel banquet spaces, and off-site Main Event Catering, managing culinary prep, service, and transport logistics for events up to 500 guests. Control food, beverage, and labor costs to meet budgeted targets while supervising ordering, tracking, and weekly audits for the kitchen, bar, and lobby market. Hire, train, and cross-train an agile kitchen and service staff to pivot between restaurant and banquet needs, enforcing local health department rules and IHG brand standards. Maintain quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction across breakfast, dinner, and bar services.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of kitchen leadership
- 2+ years overseeing banquets and bar programs
- Current ServSafe Manager certification
- Valid Kansas alcohol service credentials
- Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university
- one to four years related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common financial reports
- Ability to read and implement safety policies and procedures
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community
- Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format
- Ability to effectively present information to customers, top management, public groups and/or boards of directors
- Ability to communicate clearly in person, via telephone and in writing
- Ability to understand, interpret and manipulate accounting concepts such as general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, purchasing, night audit, cash handling and budget development / management
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, develop solutions and plan ahead
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical, formula or procedural form and deal with several abstract variables
- Franchise specific certification
- Must be able to handle a crisis in a calm, effective manner
