Job Summary
Food & Beverage Director responsible for the daily operations of culinary services in a senior living community, establishing high-quality dining experiences, staffing the kitchen and dining areas, planning weekly menus in alignment with dietary standards, ensuring sanitation and safety compliance, maintaining budgeted food and supply costs, coordinating catering for community events, and leading a collaborative team to support residents and campus operations.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Culinary Arts preferred
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in food production/management
- Serve Safe certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Physical ability to bend, reach, push/pull, and stand for extended periods
- Knowledge of health department regulations and guidelines pertaining to food service operations
- Ability to manage budgets and inventory
- Experience with catering for events
- Team leadership and staff development
