Job Summary
Food & Beverage Director responsible for daily culinary operations in a senior living community, overseeing dining room service and culinary operations, planning weekly IL community menus, ensuring sanitation regulations and safety standards, placing orders, maintaining inventories, and generating monthly reports. Leads staffing, budgeting, catering for community events, and collaboration with administrative teams. Requires culinary arts degree (preferred), Serve Safe certification (or within 90 days), 3–5 years in food production/management, and strong communication skills; proficient with Microsoft Office; physically capable of lifting up to 40–50 lbs; able to work in hot/humid environments.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Culinary Arts preferred
- Serve Safe certification or willing to obtain within 90 days
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in food production/management
- basic knowledge of food preparation procedures and health department regulations
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
