Job Summary
Set up, program, and operate CNC/sheet metal folding equipment to manufacture parts according to blueprint specifications and quality standards. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and routings to produce folding parts, using precision measuring instruments to verify parts meet requirements. Properly position and orient workpieces in machines while applying basic shop math and metric conversions. Follow all quality, safety, housekeeping, and cleanup procedures to maintain a clean and organized work area. Communicate effectively with coworkers and perform additional duties as assigned by management. This direct hire role in Hartland, WI offers a 1st shift (6 am to 2 pm) with weekly overtime, competitive pay from $21-28/h, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k match, and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Basic shop math skills
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and routings
- Ability to perform metric conversions
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
- Ability to frequently use hands to handle materials, controls, and equipment
- Ability to sit, talk, listen, and operate machinery
- Ability to occasionally walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach above shoulder height
- Ability to operate machine controls and equipment using hands and feet
- Ability to reach control panels up to approximately 60 inches high and 18 inches in front of the body
- Ability to maintain balance on each leg for up to 30 seconds
- Ability to push and pull materials using up to 25 lbs. of force
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant manufacturing/folding machine experience
- Experience working with a variety of materials and machine programming
- Familiarity with Schroder, Fasti, and Roper Whitney folding machines
