Job Summary
Process Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests in accordance with applicable laws, DoD policies, and the Privacy Act. Review records to determine responsiveness, identify information requiring withholding, and coordinate with subject matter experts to collect and process responsive documents. Prepare redacted documents, draft response letters, maintain case files, and track request status to meet statutory deadlines. Support appeals, litigation, and administrative reviews by maintaining complete and accurate records. This contingent hire role involves working with government personnel and stakeholders, requiring a Bachelor's degree and three years of experience processing FOIA requests for a federal agency or DoD organization.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Three (3) or more years of experience processing FOIA requests for a federal agency or DoD organization
- Working knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act, Privacy Act, and applicable DoD and federal regulations
- Experience reviewing sensitive records and applying FOIA exemptions and redactions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic records/document management systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
