Job Summary
Greet guests upon arrival, record party details, and manage seating flow by issuing pagers and providing estimated wait times. Escort guests to tables with menus and silverware, accommodate special requests, and inform them of their server's name. Maintain host area cleanliness by cleaning floors, door glass, and tabletops between seatings, while promptly removing used tableware to bus bins. Respond to guest requests, communicate needs to servers, and assist with plate removal during peak periods. Thank guests upon departure and remain flexible to fill in where needed as directed by the manager.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting and cleaning
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of basic food safety practices and ability to follow health regulations
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Previous experience in a customer service role or hospitality setting preferred but not required
