Job Summary
Lead FOH shift operations by supervising hourly staff, enforcing Food Safety & Sanitation policies, and ensuring excellent guest service through table visits and complaint resolution. Manage job assignments, break rotation, and POS reconciliation while handling employee relations issues and escalations to Senior Management. Coordinate opening and closing duties, conduct Legal Sea Foods training for new hires, and utilize comp items for guest recovery. Requires ServSafe certifications, background check, and ability to stand 80% of the shift lifting up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- At least eighteen (18) years of age
- Employed with the Company for at least six (6) months with a demonstrated record of satisfactory job performance
- High School diploma (or equivalent)
- Executed Employee Handbook Acknowledgment Form
- ServSafe Food certification
- ServSafe Alcohol/TIPs certification
- Crowd Control certification
- MA Allergen Training certification
- LSF CAR certification
- Discrimination, Harassment & Retaliation; Prevention Training certification
- Complete background check satisfactory to the Company
- Ability to perform under pressure in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Ability to handle guest incidents/complaints
- Knowledgeable of Legal Sea Foods menus, policies, and procedures
- Ability to handle cash and paperwork accurately
- Well versed in Point of Sale and Reservation systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Leads by example and demonstrates good judgment
- Exhibits and uses good manners, proper personal hygiene, positive attitude, and promptness
- Capable of standing more than 80% of the shift for long periods of time and exert fast paced mobility
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to reasonably utilize comp/promo items for guest recovery
- Must be able to handle guest complaints during the shift, taking prompt and appropriate action to resolve problems
- Includes the ability to reasonably utilize comp/promo items for guest recovery
- Properly escalates issues and concerns
- Properly escalates issues to GM/Chef as appropriate
- Responsible for following and enforcing Company standards, protocols and policies including, without limitation: safety, sanitation, and respectful workplace
- Responsible for timely and accurate completion and reconciliation of all financial transactions and operating point of sale terminals according to established cash handling guidelines
- Helps with and may conduct Legal Sea Foods training such as Service and Sanitation, Menu, Fish, and POS for new hires
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Strong attention to detail
- Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- ChokeSave certification (strongly encouraged, but not required if another team member on the shift has this certification)
