Job Summary
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across all restaurant and public areas by cleaning floors, windows, washrooms, and furniture. Sanitize public spaces, polish brass signage, and ensure all tasks meet health, safety, and sanitation standards. Monitor floor conditions to prevent slip hazards, report maintenance issues promptly, and properly store cleaning chemicals per WHMIS guidelines. Work flexible shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Outstanding attention to detail in cleanliness, presentation, and tidiness
- Ability to read and understand English
- Working knowledge of cleaning equipment and tools & WHMIS as it pertains to mixing chemicals
- Knowledge of proper sanitation and cleaning techniques
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job (lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, reaching)
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent education/experience required
- Must be able to work flexible shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment with high cleanliness standards
Desired Qualifications
- Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience in a restaurant, hotel, or similar environment is considered an asset
- Commitment to quality and hospitality during all interactions with guests and employees
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team
