Job Summary
Deliver and retrieve patient meal trays, speak the menu using the BME, replenish nutrition rooms, and provide snacks while offering individualized assistance to each patient. Train any new assigned Hospitality Assistant on these duties. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to federal, state, and JCAHO standards for sanitation and food handling. Requires high school diploma, two years in food service, and one year as a Hospitality Assistant. Full-time position with competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401K match.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years in food service
- health care experience
- Excellent communication skills
- customer service skills
- knowledgeable of and able to follow the standards of federal, state and regulatory agencies and JCAHO for sanitation, food preparation and handling
- ability to properly identify patients
- ability to maintain confidentiality
