Job Summary
Deliver and retrieve patient meal trays, speak the menu using the BME, replenish nutrition rooms, and provide snacks while offering individualized assistance to each patient. Train new assigned Hospitality Assistants on food service standards, patient identification, and confidentiality protocols. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory agency guidelines for sanitation and food handling. Requires a high school diploma, two years of food service experience with healthcare background, and one year as a Hospitality Assistant preferred. Full-time employment with competitive compensation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years in food service
- health care experience
- Excellent communication skills
- customer service skills
- knowledge of and ability to follow the standards of federal, state and regulatory agencies and JCAHO for sanitation, food preparation and handling
- ability to properly identify patients
- ability to maintain confidentiality
