FMLA Substitute 7th Grade Science/Encore Teacher

Long-term substitute assignment for 7th-grade science/Encore teaching at Aux Sable Middle School under FMLA. Plan and instruct students to District and Illinois State Standards-aligned curriculum. Communicate progress verbally and in writing with parents and students. Enter grades into required databases in a timely manner. Develop lesson plans and goals that meet District expectations. Conduct and interpret formal and informal assessments to evaluate student progress; maintain records and develop intervention strategies. Collaborate with support teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists to tailor instruction to individual students’ needs, modifying lessons as needed. Establish a safe, positive learning environment with clear expectations and classroom management. Participate in staff development and school improvement activities and additional events as required (orientation, conferences, extracurriculars). Fulfill responsibilities of covering FMLA leave for Middle School Social Studies servicing EL students.
