Job Summary
Manufacture Orvis fly rods at the Rod Shop in Manchester, reporting to a Rod Shop Production Lead or Supervisor. Responsibilities include operating state-of-the-art rod manufacturing equipment, cutting, cleaning, and painting rod sections, assembling and installing reel seats and cork handles, affixing guides to rod blanks, inspecting work for quality, and meeting daily production goals. The role supports a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday schedule, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. Requires a high school diploma, excellent attendance, a proactive/collaborative mindset, the ability to follow directions precisely, and physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs, bend/move with agility, and stand for extended periods. In-person position located in Manchester, VT, US; hourly pay with a range of $18–$20 per hour, plus benefits and career-growth opportunities.
