Sitting bedside with hospice patients in nursing facilities, providing caregiver relief inside private residences, and offering pet therapy using licensed dogs. Play the guitar bedside of hospice patients to provide musical support. Conduct bereavement volunteer support calls to families and assist with grief groups remotely. Pre-med students may learn about gerontology patient care through these opportunities. Submit TB and drug tests and undergo fingerprinting as required. No healthcare experience needed; must be 18+.
