Job Summary
Perform routine fluoroscopic procedures under the direction of a Pain Medicine Supervisor, utilizing knowledge of radiation principles and ALARA standards to position patients for maximum diagnostic yield. Operate complex radiographic equipment, select technical factors for high-quality images, and track patient dosage for state inspections. Setup fluoroscopy rooms for physician-guided procedures, maintain equipment to ensure proper working condition, and report malfunctions. Enter appropriate information into PACS to ensure studies are ready for radiologist dictation before submission. Follow clinic exposure control plans for bloodborne and airborne pathogens.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved radiological program
- Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists AART(R)
- Current state permit/license as general diagnostic radiographer
- CPR Certification
- Knowledge of radiation/imaging scientific principles
- Well-developed problem-solving capabilities
- Experience in radiology imaging modalities is preferred
